South America is a vibrant continent, renowned for its pulsating cities, great beaches, the world’s greatest waterfalls, the incredible Incan ruins of Machu Picchu and Cuzco high in the Andes, the remote Amazon and the Galapagos Islands – like nowhere else on earth, a paradise of evolution located 1,000km off the coast of Ecuador. Our tour features the great citiesof Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, Iguassu Falls, La Paz (built in a cauldron high in the Andes), sacred Lake Titicaca, the amazing Incan cities of Cuzco and Machu Picchu, a remote jungle lodge in the Amazon Basin region and Lima (the capital of Spanish South America). Enjoy the highlights of South America in a little over two weeks or stay on for five days and cruise the unique Galapagos Islands aboard a superb cruise ship. Created by volcanic eruption, the islands host many different species of flora and fauna unique in the world – giant tortoise, land and marine iguanas, penguins, boobies and thirteen species of finches, famous in Darwin’s studies for his theory of evolution. The ship has spacious suites, fine cuisine, single sitting dining (served with complimentary wine at dinner), and knowledgeable naturalist guides. Landings take place twice a day at some of the world’s most amazing locations. This incredible tour of South America, including the Galapagos Cruise Option, is fully escorted and all inclusive.
