The Finest Travel and Accommodation
Many of The Captain’s Choice Tours feature transport by private trains, private jets and luxurious ships. We fly with the world’s premier airlines, such as Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways, for our long distance travel. All accommodation is of the highest standard, featuring some of the world’s grandest hotels and always five star or the very best available in more remote areas.
Sightseeing
Your tour is fully inclusive of all sightseeing listed in the itinerary for each particular tour. This includes most
SELECT options (see below for information).
Sightseeing is undertaken at each destination with the best English speaking local guides. Our local guides provide a wonderful insight into the customs, culture, history and geography of each destination.
On our cruise tours we include your shore excursions as listed in the brochure so there is no need to pay additional for these whilst on tour.
Personal headsets
Personal headsets are provided on all tours listed within our orange coloured 2008 brochure, this covers most tours within our ‘General Tours’ category on the website. The headsets enable you to control the volume at which you listen to the guide, as well as enabling you to wander a small distance from the group whilst still hearing the commentary and knowing where the group is. This greatly enhances your individual travel experience.
Meals
All of your meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Meals often feature regional specialties and, on some occasions, regional entertainment – such as a private Chopin concert in Warsaw.
At all group dinners we also include wine, beer or softdrink during the meal (except for dine-arounds). Bottled or purified water is always provided with lunch, dinner and whilst sightseeing.
SELECT
We are proud to offer you a unique touring concept –
SELECT offers you more choice in activities and dining options, enabling you to tailor each tour to your individual preferences. Where there are options to choose from you will see the
symbol within the tour itinerary.
SELECT options are mostly complimentary however some premium activities, such as a heli-ride, may require additional payment.
Tour Escort Team
Your Tour Escort Team is there to ensure your holiday is hassle free and enjoyable. As well as looking after your luggage from hotel room to hotel room, and ensuring its safe delivery, our Tour Escort Team smooth out the bumps that can occur whilst travelling and provide you with great company and people who share in the travel experience with you.
Tour Doctor
A Tour Doctor travels with the group as a member of our Tour Escort Team. In the remote destinations we visit it is comforting to have an English speaking medical professional with the group. The doctor is there to provide immediate but limited medical attention to tour guests – but we always prefer to see our doctors delivering luggage and enjoying a meal with our guests rather than attending to health problems! The doctor does not provide full time or ongoing care.
Special Arrangements
Special luggage handling arrangements ensure the safe delivery of your luggage from room to room between destinations, there is no passenger handling of luggage required. Luggage is normally taken to the airport ahead of the group and, where possible, boarding passes are obtained in advance to maximise touring time and minimise time spent at airports. Special arrangements are made where possible for Customs and Immigration clearance.
